Anl\u00e4ggningens nio turbiner fick sitt drivvatten via en 300 meter l\u00e5ng tunnel. <\/p>\n<p>Tunnelbyggen har som bekant en tendens att <a href=\"http:\/\/sv.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hallands%C3%A5stunneln\">spr\u00e4nga budgetar<\/a> och Domnarvet var inget undantag. Projektet p\u00e5gick i fem \u00e5r och hade n\u00e4r det var slutf\u00f6rt slukat en tredjedel av de medel som g\u00e5tt \u00e5t f\u00f6r att bygga hela j\u00e4rnverket. <\/p>\n<p>Kraftverket var i bruk fram till 1945 d\u00e5 det ersattes av en modern anl\u00e4ggning med tv\u00e5 Kaplanturbiner.
