Vi f\u00e5r h\u00f6ra att de som tycker det ska byggas nya k\u00e4rnkraftverk g\u00f6r s\u00e5 f\u00f6r att de \u00e4r oinformerade och inte f\u00f6rst\u00e5tt att k\u00e4rnkraft bara \u00e4r ett dumt s\u00e4tt att koka vatten. Charles Fritts brukar anses vara den moderna solcellens uppfinnare och han byggde solpaneler som installerades p\u00e5 ett hustak 1883. Konstruktionen vidareutvecklades av svenska KMW som levererade en turbin till Vattenfalls kraftverk i Lilla Edet 1924. Idag \u00e4r turbintypen helt dominerande f\u00f6r l\u00e5ga till medelh\u00f6ga fallh\u00f6jder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"502\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vonklopp.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/borax_blog.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7689\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Borax III-reaktorn vid National Reactor Testing Station i \u00f6stra Idaho (1955).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00e4rldens f\u00f6rsta k\u00e4rnreaktor som producerade elektrisk str\u00f6m var EBR-1 som togs i bruk 1951. Reaktorn byggdes i \u00f6knen utanf\u00f6r Arco, Idaho och kraften r\u00e4ckte till att driva fyra 200W lampor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De l\u00e4ttvattenreaktorer som konstruerades av ASEA-Atom var s\u00e5 kallade kokarreaktorer med turbin i direktcykel (utan mellanliggande v\u00e4rmev\u00e4xlare). Reaktortypen utvecklades i b\u00f6rjan av 1950-talet och n\u00e4r BORAX-III togs i drift 1955 kunde den producera 2 MW el. Turbinen togs i drift 1917 och levererar fortfarande planerbar el mer \u00e4n hundra \u00e5r senare.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Efter den h\u00e4r genomg\u00e5ngen av \u00e5rtal kan vi konstatera \u00e4r att k\u00e4rnkraften \u00e5tminstone inte \u00e4r \u00e4ldre eller omodernare \u00e4n n\u00e5got av alternativen.
